Denise Piper Reporter from Whangarei Leader

An example of the world's rarest tree will be just one of the internationally unique features of the Hundertwasser Art Centre in Whangarei. The building designed is taking shape on Whangārei's waterfront and, although work has stopped due to the coronavirus lockdown, the project is set to open around mid-2021. What do you think? Are you excited about the project? Will you visit it when it is open?

Tell us about the coronavirus lockdown champions in your community

The Team Reporter from Stuff

Hey neighbours,

We want to celebrate the unsung heroes who are keeping our country going through lockdown.

Frontline nurse Debra Larsen's life has turned into a "real whirlwind" since the coronavirus outbreak began.

She's been so busy setting up testing centres around the Waikato. and helping them run smoothly that she's barely seen her two teenage daughters.

Do you know a coronavirus lockdown champion who deserves to be recognised? Tell us about them in the comments below.

Broken down hot water cylinder during lockdown

Diana from Tikipunga

My friend's hot water cylinder broke down 2 days after lockdown started, so they haven't had hot water since. While having no hot water might not be regarded as an emergency, is a repair still allowed? When I tried to find information I read : "Major water leaks, hot water cylinders, unblocking sanitary waste pipes, or gas servicing where there's a potential leak or issue with the gas system. So really defined and quite a tight regime."
