KOKOMAI Creative Festival - Wairarapa

Destination Wairarapa

We're looking forward to KOKOMAI Creative Festival - Wairarapa's event featuring Greg Copeland! A bluesy guy all the way from Virginia for a show full of soul and funk.
Greg performs regularly across Europe and as far afield as Israel so it's great to see him in the Wairarapa!

Our sweet pea seeds send out, April issue and Get Growing

Mei Leng Wong Reporter from NZ Gardener & Get Growing

Dear neighbours and NZ Gardener family,

Our April issue should be with our subscribers now and available in supermarkets and service stations (having been distributed prior to the lockdown restrictions). Whether or not it's on the stands yet is a bit patchy ... but then the incredibly brave and hard-working supermarket staff have quite a bit on their plate right now so I understand if there is a delay! Please, please, please everyone ... don't go out to buy it! Normally of course we love you buying NZ Gardener but right now it's far more important that you stay home and stay safe. (You can buy a copy with your online shopping though! That's safe and I think we are all in the market for something uplifting to read right now).

In this issue we offered to send out sweet pea seeds to any reader who sent us a SSAE. Just to reassure you, we will still send out sweet pea seeds to any reader who is keen to participate. We are just not quite sure when! Ignore the dates in the magazine of when you needed to send the envelope in by - that has been indefinitely extended. But we cannot wait to send you the seed and for those flowers to bloom as by then we will be well through this or even have it behind us. And keep letting us know what you are sowing and growing, send in pictures of your harvest, your flowers or what you are sharing.

We always love hearing from NZ Gardener readers but now when we are all staying apart that connection means more than you can imagine. Stay home, stay safe and stay in touch everyone. For the most updated gardening advice, subscribe to our digital e-zine Get Growing, which will be delivered to your inbox completely free.

Tell us the story behind your bear

Katie Townshend Reporter from Dominion Post

We're going on a bear hunt! People across the country are popping bears in their windows. But what's the story behind the fuzzy faces? Tell us about your bear - what's their name, where did you get it, how far have they travelled? Post a photo and tell us their story! (Please mark any posts you don't want to see published NFP).

Facebook Live Yoga Classes

Heidi from Northland

Hi Everyone!

I have been teaching weekly community yoga classes for the past two years. My existing members are keen to continue during the lockdown period via online classes.

I have set up a private yoga group. Membership is $10 for one class per week. If my group numbers double I will introduce a second yoga class per week, if they triple I will introduce a third. If this happens the membership price will stay the same. People can then join 1 - 3 classes per week, depending on how they feel ๐Ÿ™‚.

I also have a public Facebook page. I am happy to teach shorter yoga live sessions on there from time to time for free so if interested in that, please follow me at Facebook.com/NobelSoulYoga and let me know if you are keen!

If you are keen to join my membership group for longer, weekly classes, please DM me. Tell your friends as the more members we have the more classes I will run! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Three is my current limit but if the group does continue to grow I will also offer some weekly guided meditations.

Just playing it by ear at this stage. It may well be that the group stays small and that we only run one class per week until the end of lock down and that's totally fine too ๐Ÿ™‚.

Stay Well,
