Have you changed how you travel?

Katie Townshend Reporter from Dominion Post

Honesty is the new policy with Wellington train commuters now having to 'clip' their own tickets. A new cashless regime, to cut contact between passengers and staff, will see no ticket checking staff or cash sales on trains from March 23. Buses are also going cashless. Can you see? The car? Cyclist? Or Pedestrian?

The team from Upper Hutt City Council

Sunstrike while travelling north on Miro Street on the morning of the 23 May 2019.

Sunstrike is more likely to occur in winter, especially from May to August, because the sun is lower in the sky.

Be prepared for possible sunstrike:

»» Keep your windscreen clean, inside and out.
»» Wear sunglasses if the sun is in your eyes.
»» Use your car’s sun visors.
»» If you experience sunstrike, it may be best to pull over and wait for a few minutes until visibility improves.

Jo Haywood Reporter from Homed

Hey neighbours, everyone's had a part to play in the fight against Covid-19, but here's a chance to say thanks to someone you know who kept working for the benefit of the rest of us - nurses, doctors, pharmacists, teachers, supermarket employees and many, many more.

We're giving away three prizes with Resene, each worth more than $500, including a Resene colour consultation, a $350 Resene voucher and the latest Resene fan decks.

So if you know an essential worker who would love one of these prize packs, click here to nominate them.
