Small businesses are vital to the recovery of our economy.

During the Covid-19 restrictions, business owners have shown initiative, hard work and resilience to keep afloat.

But many have been hit hard.

Lack of clarity about just how heavy the toll of the restrictions have been on individual businesses and their ability to quickly rebound adds to the uncertainty of the national economic recovery.

Therefore, Prosper is launching a survey targeted at finding out the scale of Covid-19's impact.

You can take that survey right now – it will only take a few minutes.

Conley from Whitby

Hi There. I am planning some small changes to my garden and need somebody with a Digger/Excavator/Skid Steer to dug out / flatten an area in front off the house. Nothing major, just too much for me to shovel. Do you know of anyone providing such a service?

Releasing water

WHAT TO DO YOU THINK OF THIS?

RAYMOND from Tawa

The landlord had given due notice to the tenants, before the new laws came into effect.

But the new laws mean he cannot have his own house but pay for temporary accomodation.

Isn't this a case of applying a new law retrospectively?

Now that we're almost back into Level 2, it's important to recognise a couple of things:

For restaurants, gyms, schools or office buildings that have been closed during the lockdown, water that has been sitting in your pipes is likely to have changed quality.

In order to offset the implications of Water Stagnation, make sure you flush water through all points of use within your building before reopening.

For more information, check out this document from Building Performance, and make sure to share this with someone that needs to know!

When left alone in your pipework for an extended period, water can become stagnant and while it's still safe to drink, it may taste unpleasant, so it’s a good idea to run the tap for a while to make sure you have fresh drinking water.
