New Zealand Alert3 - We are at Alert Level 3

Sylvie-Patricia Claren from Combined Probus Club Of Waikanae Incorporated

New Zealand moved to Alert Level 3 at 11:59pm on Monday 27 April.

We will stay in Alert Level 3 for two weeks, before Cabinet reviews how we are tracking and makes further decisions on 11 May.

At Alert Level 3 we must be vigilant. We can keep working together to unite against COVID-19 by sticking to the rules.

Personal movement

Limiting our interactions with others is our best defence against COVID-19. Under Alert Level 3 we must continue to stay in our household bubbles whenever we are not at work, school, buying the groceries or exercising.

People must stay within their household bubble but can expand this to reconnect with close family/whānau, or bring in caregivers, or support isolated people. It’s important to protect your bubble if you extend it. Keep your bubble exclusive and only include people where it will keep you and them safe and well. If anyone within your bubble feels unwell, they should self-isolate from everyone else within your bubble.

Don’t invite or allow social visitors, such as friends, family and whānau, to enter your home.

Looking for plenty of the above for packing household goods which probably will need to go into storage if I cannot find somewhere to live. Starting to run out of boxes and days

DOES THE KAPITI OBSERVER CARE ABOUT KAPITI ??

Alan from Paraparaumu

Very frustrated this afternoon, to find out an event I am trying to promote in the "What's On" Column (Chess on the Blue Train), gets no mention. I appreciate space is limited and the editor has the final say, but when 9 out of 12 in the column are promoting events outside Kapiti,(7 in the Hutt Valley, including the Upper Hutt Chess Club!!) I am starting to wonder where their allegiances lie!!
