With the numbers of coronavirus cases flattening off in Wairarapa, leaders want testing ramped up to make sure community transmission hasn't taken hold.
South Wairarapa District Council and the Wairarapa Whanau Trust are working in collaboration on an employment initiative with the focus on people living in the South Wairarapa who are looking for work.
We recognise there are industries that have had to reduce staff, we are also aware that some industries are needing extra staff to cover business commitments and deadlines.
We are committed to working with local businesses, SMEs and those looking for work to provide effective solutions wherever we can.
If you have recently been made unemployed, and/or need work, you can register your interest with us by clicking on the first Google Form (work) link below.
If you are a business that is needing workers to meet your needs or requirements, you can also register with us by clicking on the second Google Form (business) link below.
For any further information, contact Alan Maxwell.

Pud Pud is a grey and black tabby male cat, 9 years old. He has an injured front right paw, could be limping. He is a medium/large kitty. Pud Pud is very shy of strangers.
He escaped at South Wairarapa Veterinary Services from a car in the carpark last Tuesday 19 May, High St North in Carterton.
Much loved companion animal to two disabled people; and 88 year young retired person. We are very worried about him as he escaped before he had received any treatment. Please call 022 374 3217.
