Passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2020. Dearly loved wife of Brian. Much loved Mum and mother-in-law of Barb and Pete, and the late Linda and Paul. Loved and cherished Gma of Teri, Tom, Andrew, Chris and Niki, Gary and Taya. Adored great grandmother of Harper and Gracie. Loved sister of John Bath. A service to celebrate Jeanette’s life will be held in the Avenal Park Chapel, 75 Fox Street, Invercargill, on Wednesday, February 19, at 11.00am. Private cremation to follow. OSWALD, Eileen Patricia(nee O’Brien)

Eileen’s family wish to announce to all family and friends that Eileen passed away peacefully at Ranui Rest Home and Hospital on February 14, 2020, two weeks short of her 96th Birthday. Eileen was the dearly loved wife of the late William Anthony Oswald (Bill). Loved and loving mother of Anne and Geddes Thompson (Outram), Geoffrey and Viv Oswald (Dunedin), Gabrielle and Stuart Geddes (Alexandra). Treasured and loving Grandmother of Margot and Malo (Christchurch), Kate and Israel Butson (Dunedin), Amy and Alan Peters-Oswald (Queensbury), Belinda and Mike Nicholls (Brisbane), Eve and Ray (Melbourne), Becky and Mason (Dunedin), Livi and Stephen (Clinton), Callum (Auckland), Lucy (Dunedin), and Finn (Dunedin). Adored and very proud Great-grandmother of Joseph, William, Florence and Primrose Butson, and Ava and Alex Peters-Oswald. Eileen’s family would like to thank the staff at Ranui for all the loving care they gave Eileen in the two years she was with them, especially in the last month. She loved you all very much and we can’t thank you enough. Thank you also to the staff at HCNZ for their care while she was living in her home. Eileen’s funeral will be held at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, on Wednesday, February 19 at 11.00am, followed by a private family burial. KENNEDY, Owen (Steven)

It’s with heavy hearts and lots of tears, that Adrianne, Tarryn, Antony and Harry, Adam, Alana, Madisyn and Ryley wish to advise that our beloved Steven died suddenly and unexpectedly while doing what he loved, working with his animals on his much-loved hill. Dearly loved fellow adventurer of Shelly and Alister and mischief leader of Emma and Toby. We also wish to include his parents Noelene, *Owen Kennedy, brother *John and extended family in announcing our loss. He was an adored son-in-law of *Ethel and *Angus Adams. A celebration of Steven’s life will be held at Ascot Park Hotel in Invercargill on Thursday, February 20, at 1.30pm. Followed by private cremation. Of Coastal Villas, Paraparaumu; previously of Newlands and Glasgow, Scotland. On Saturday, 15 February 2020, at Mary Potter Hospice; aged 93 years 6 months. Dearly loved wife of Des (deceased 2006); mother and mother-in- law of Tom & Wendy, Maureen, Alex & Terrie, Theresa, Andrew & Carol; grandmother of Kathleen, Erin, Callum, Deryn, Christie, Kelsi, Joshua, Kelly-Anne, Amber-Lee, Aleisha, and Brittany; and great-grandmother of her 8 great-grandchildren. Sister, sister-in-law, aunty, cousin, godmother, and dear friend to many.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Kapiti Church, 3 Presentation Way (off Milne Drive), Paraparaumu, at 11.00am on Wednesday, 19 February – Mum will then be laid to rest with Dad at Awa Tapu Cemetery, 131 Valley Road, Paraparaumu. The Rosary will be recited for Mum at the Kapiti Coast Funeral Home Chapel, 9-11 Hinemoa Street, Paraparaumu, at 5.00pm tomorrow, Tuesday, 18 February. Sincere thanks to the Vascular and Palliative Care teams at Wellington Hospital and to everyone at Mary Potter Hospice for their love, care and support of Mum and our family. Peacefully with her loving family by her side at Southland Hospital, on Saturday, February 15, 2020, in her 88th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Joe. Loved Grandmother/Nana of Chad, Whitney, Alex, Melissa, Josh, Kealey, Ethan and great-grandmother of Penny, Corbin, Salem, and Eva. A service to celebrate Mae’s life will be held in the Riverton Union Church, Palmerston Street, Riverton, on Tuesday, February 18 at 2.00pm, the cortagé will be leaving immediately for the interment at the Riverton Cemetery. HENDERSON, Alan Robert

Alan passed away peacefully at Auckland Hospital on Saturday, February 15, 2020, after a courageous fight with cancer. Aged 57 years. Dearly loved husband of Tracy, father of Robert, Megan and partner, Chris, stepfather of Scott, Hayley and partner, Dan. Much loved son of Betty and the late Bob Henderson, brother of Shirley and Richard Harrison, Heather and Tony Mitchell, and Graeme and Sharon. Loved uncle of his many nieces and nephews. There will be a funeral service for Alan on Wednesday, February 19, in Auckland followed by a memorial service held at Halkett Presbyterian Church, corner of Halkett and McKay’s Road, on Friday, February 21, at 1.00pm.

Passed away February 14, 2020, dearly loved husband of 73 years of Valerie, loved father and father-in-law of Gillian, Jennifer, Blair, and Beth.
