SINGH, Jarnal Mahindur

Aged 89 years. Passed away very peacefully in Te Aroha, on Sunday 18th November 2018. Husband of Gurmej Kaur (deceased). Much loved father of Kuldip, Daljeet, Barry (deceased), Jesvier and Helvier. Dearly loved father-in-law of Pankaj, Sukhninder and Baljinder. Treasured by his grandchildren and all his wider family. A huge gap has been left in our lives. A service will be held at the Hamilton Crematorium Chapel, 395 Morrinsville Road, Newstead, on Friday 23rd November at 12.00 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations would be welcome for Te Aroha & District Health Services Charitable Trust and may be left at the service or posted to 72 Stanley Ave, Te Aroha 3320. BROWN, Colleen Mary

On November 19, 2018, peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, after a long illness; aged 82 years. Dearly loved wife of William (Bill), much loved mother and mother-in-law of Sheryl, Stephen, Debra and John, Craig, and Anita, a loving nana of Julian, Gabrielle and Ryan; Nathan and Rochelle, Melissa, Quentin; Jussie and Jason; Christopher and Jacasta, Dylan and Brittany, and of her 13 great-grandchildren. PETHIG, Ian Gordon

Born October 3, 1934. Ian passed away peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, surrounded by family, on November 15, 2018, aged 84 years. Loved husband of Judy, much loved father of Lynda (deceased), Debbie, and Angela, and father-in-law of Michael. Loved and adored Grandad of Rilee and Kasey. Loved brother of Nancy Marsh, and Neroli Jessie Pethig (deceased), and brother-in-law of Arthur Marsh (deceased). A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Christchurch Hospital for your loving care. WEBSTER, Charles Gordon (Gordon)

Born Aberlour, Scotland, 19.12.1930, died Christchurch, New Zealand, 18.11.2018. Peacefully at Diana Isaac Retirement Village, aged 87 years. Dearly loved father of Chris and Andy Green, Allan and Sonia, Allison Bairstow, Graeme and Rebecca Webster. Devoted Grandad of Anna, and Susan; Elizabeth and Henna; Thomas Andrew, and Pippa; Angus and William. Great-grandfather of Pyper and Thea. Loved brother of Kathleen and Andy McAnulty (deceased), and Mac and Nan Webster. A much loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. SCOTT, Ila Marjorie

Of Rongotea. Died peacefully at Palmerston North Hospital on Monday 12th November 2018. Dearly loved wife of the late Jack, loved mother of Philip, and Nana to grandsons Shane and Nicholas and their families.

Passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday 16th November 2018, aged 60 years. Dearly loved Husband of the late Sharron. Loved Father and father-in-law of Jenna and David, Alex and Sam. Loved grandfather of Riley and Luca. CRAWFORD, Gloria Patricia (nee Miscall)

Went to sleep peacefully on 14 November 2018, at Heatherlea Rest Home, aged 93, with family at her side. Beloved wife of the late Leo, very much loved mother / mother-in-law of Wendy and the late Barry Lewis (UK), Linda and Keith Fitzpatrick and Alan and Helen. Loving grandmother of Christopher, Samantha, Kym, Kelly and Anita. Precious Nan to 6 great-grandchildren. Loved sister of 5 brothers and 5 sisters (survived by Ngaire and Rema), Godmother of Marie. A tireless and generous lady with never a harsh word said. Ahead of her time with an accepting heart. An avid gardener and walker. Thanks to Heatherlea Rest Home, their dedicated caring staff and special companion Lyn. In accordance with Gloria’s wishes a private cremation has been held.


MENARA, James Amerigo (Jim)

On November 17, 2018, peacefully at Lower Hutt; aged 93 years. Beloved husband of the late Bessie. Cherished and much loved father of Katrina, Marcus, and Lynne, and father-in-law of Denise. Loved brother of Inis, and uncle of Virginia and Michael. Sadly missed by all his extended family in France. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Martin de Porres, 8 Park Avenue, Lower Hutt, on Friday, November 23, 2018, at 11.00am, followed by interment at Taita Cemetery. WHAREWAKA, Bernard James (Bernie)

At his home, aged 68 years. Dearly loved father of Rowena, Katrina, Hayden, Mitchell, and Tatana. Loved Papa to Jessie, William, Tamzin, and Charlotte, and great-grandad of Kaden. NELSON, Ian Didsbury

On 17 November 2018, at Masterton, in his 90th year. Much loved husband of Virginia (Dinny). Loved father and father-in-law of Nick (passed), Debbie, Anne, David and Lindy. Loved grandad of Hailey, Ryan, Vaughan, Louise, Georgia, Mac and great-grandfather of Evelyn. Service to be held on Wednesday, 21 November, at 11.00am at Rosewood, 415 Queen Street, Masterton, followed by lunch then a private cremation.


BURKHART, Brian Finlay

Passed away peacefully on Saturday 17th November 2018 at Hamilton, with his loving wife of 59 years, Diane, beside him. Much loved father and father-in-law of Marc and Tanya, Kim and John, Tania and Manuel. Cherished Granddad of Keegan, Jake, Reid, Hannah, Lexie and Gaby. Great Granddad of Huxley. Loved brother of Russell, Marian and family.

Died at Auckland Hospital peacefully surrounded by his family. Much loved husband and great mate of Sue, and beloved father of Fraser and James and their partners Tess and Cara. Loved son of Desmond (deceased), and Ngaire and brother and brother-in-law to Desrae, and Robyn and Garry.

HORRELL, Albert Victor Lindsay (Lindsay)

Born September 12, 1936. Loved son of the late Vic and Ethel Horrell. Loved and sadly missed brother and brother-in-law of Mait and Janice, Graham and the late Lorraine Blondell, Sam, Yvonne and the late Alan Botting. Loved and respected brother-in-law of his wife Margaret’s (nee Hewlett) 11 brothers and sisters and their spouses, sadly many of whom are no longer with us. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

Passed away suddenly as a result of an accident on Wednesday, 14th November 2018, aged 26 years old. Loved son of Heather Baron, loved brother of Kyron, Zarah, and loved Step-brother of Connie, Shani, and Alexis, Loved grandson, and nephew of Vonnie and the late David Goodhue, Allen, Bryan and Raechel, loved by his cousins Isabel, and Hamish.
