MIRFIN, Janice Frances (Jan)

On Wednesday, April 17, 2019, after a long and brave battle at Cashmere View, Christchurch. Treasured wife and lifelong soulmate of Roger, proud and loving mother and mother-in-law of Geoff and Carly Mirfin, Sarah and Iain Halcrow, and Brigit Mirfin-Veitch and Jason Veitch, and devoted grandmother of Bella, Greer, Lucia, Murren, Seamus, and Lola. Jan was also a much loved sister and sister-in-law, aunt and great-aunt, cousin, and cherished friend of many.

BRYCE, George Ian

On 4th April 2019, peacefully at his home in Ohau, Levin. Much loved husband of Moira and Dad of Julia and Jeffrey. Loved brother of Fay, Sandy (dec), Jimmy (dec). Uncle of Kevin, Morag, Grant, Kenneth, Gillian, Malcolm, Richard, Fiona and Alasdair, and their families . “Uncle Ian” to Sheryl Wright and her family. A private service was held at Ian’s request. RUWHIU, Kathleen Mary (Kate)(nee Woodney)

On Wednesday 17th April 2019 Kate passed away peacefully in Taumarunui, surrounded by her loving family. Loved mother, mother-in-law, a proud grandmother of 13 grandchildren and a soon to be great grandmother. A much loved sister, aunt and friend to many. A Service for Kate will be held at the Baptist Church, Taupo Road, Taumarunui, today (Saturday) 20th April at 11.00am, followed by interment at the Manunui Cemetery.

LYSTER, Alan David

On April 18, 2019, peacefully at Wairarapa Village, Masterton, surrounded by family, in his 90th year. Dearly loved husband of the late Nola. Very much loved Dad of Debra and Tom Wilson, Catherine Butters and Janson Gardner, Jackie and Peter Rimene. Cherished Poppa of Tracey and Steven. A brave hearty soul who fought for as long as he could. He will be sadly and dearly missed. Thankyou to the staff at Wairarapa Village for making Dad’s last days as comfortable as possible. Peacefully in the care of Hospice Southland on Wednesday, April 17, 2019. Aged 77 years. Beloved wife of the late Tony. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Bernadette and Laurie Caullay, Charmayne and David Evans, and the late Andrew. A loved nana and granny. As to Maureen’s wishes a private cremation has taken place. SHAND, Elaine (nee Hannon)

On April 11, 2019, in Wellington, aged 81 years. Much loved daughter of the late James and Patricia Shand. Loved mum of Craig, Grant, Tricia lee, Shane, Louise, Brett (dec) and Reade. A private cremation was held.

ROBINSON, Garth Allan (Wild Man)

Tragically taken as a result of an accident on April 13, 2019, in his 57th year. Loved and loving eldest son of Keith and Faye Robinson. Father of Daniel. Much loved brother and brother-in-law of Steven and Debra, Joanne and Wayne Hamlin. Loved uncle of all his nieces and nephews. Loved nephew of Graham and Rae Peattie of Nelson, Allan and Valda Peattie, Maureen and Ray McLeod, the late Colin and Merilyn Peattie. Loved grandson of the late Les and the late Hazel Robinson, the late Ted and the late Susan Peattie. According to Garth’s wishes a private service has been held on April 18, 2019. STEWART, David James

Passed away peacefully on 17th April 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Aged 85 years. Marjorie’s love of her life for 61 years. Dearly loved Dad to Angela and the late Graeme Opie, and David and Jeannie. Adored and loved Grandad to Reece, Ewan and Louise, Krystal, Brendon and Helen and Ryan and Anita. Treasured and loved Great-Grandad to Nicholas, Finlay and Harrison. A Memorial Service will be held at St David’s Co-operating Parish Church, Church Street, Te Aroha, on Wednesday 24th April, at 1.00pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Te Aroha St John Ambulance would be appreciated by the family and can be posted c/- Burgess Street, Te Aroha 3320. BUCHANAN, Isabella Mackay (Isabel)

Passed away peacefully on April 17, 2019, at Anthony Wilding Retirement Village; in her 90th year. Dearly loved wife of the late John David Buchanan. Much loved Mum of Shirley Pullar, David, Stewart and Gail. A much loved and adored Nana to Michael and Alice; Keaton, Rhyanna, and Jesse, and Great-Nana to Maddison and Jackson. A heartfelt thanks to the amazing staff at Anthony Wilding for their wonderful care and support. A service to Celebrate Isabel’s life will be held in the Hope Presbyterian Church, 27 Amyes Road, Hornby, on Wednesday, April 24 at 2.00pm.


CAMPBELL, Evelyn Violet

Peacefully at Peacehaven Village, Invercargill, on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, with her loving family by her side, aged 96 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Cyril, loved and cherished mother and mother-in-law of Diane and Dennis Trower (Christchurch), Marie (Rangiora), Jan and David Anderson (Invercargill), Jill (Melbourne), Keith and Jo (Telford, UK), the late Wayne, and special Mum of Denise Gibson, much loved and devoted Nana of Andru, Ben; Sam, Lauren, Stephen, Jonathan, Tim; Naomi, Isaac, and Eloise, loved great-Nana of Millie, Henry, Rafael, Evie, and baby Roos-Gray. Dearly loved sister and sister-in-law of the Guise and Campbell families, and much loved aunty of all her nieces and nephews.

On April 11, 2019. Loving mum to Tricia-lee and Dale Wairau. Special Nana to Joshua, Cedah and Breanah. Great-grandmother to Dorian, Vila, Isla and Encke. Mum’s life was devoted to loving and caring for her family, helping anyone in need, listening and spending time was her most precious gift.

MORGAN, Ryan John (Ryry)

On April 14, 2019, aged 31. Adored son of Susan Macey and the late John Rex Morgan (Rex). Big brother and chief stirrer of Bradley and Caitlin (Spooky). Eldest grandchild to John and Barbara Macey of Australia. Loved nephew of Ann and Ian, Carol and Mal, Peter, Puk and families.

LYNN, Eileen Michele

Passed away on 16th April 2019 at the wonderful age of 94. Loving wife of the late Michael. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Kathryn and Patrick, Pat (Patrick) and Rosina, Rose and Wol, and Deidree. Wonderful and loving grandmother of Emmaleen, Michael, Clinton, and Gerard and Alannah, Ailish, Nuala and Rose, and Michael and Sarah. Great-grandmother to CJ, Henry, Kayla, Mason, Maika and Aria. Special thanks to the wonderful staff of Harbour view Rest home for their care and support of Eileen and her family. In lieu of flowers donations to IHC NZ would be appreciated.
