CRONE, Daphne Laura(nee Venables)

Life member of Red Cross, New Plymouth Citizens Award. Peacefully passed away at Jean Sandel Rest Home, New Plymouth, on Monday 11th February 2020, surrounded by all of her children, in her 98th year. Much loved wife of the late Darcy Crone (QSO, JP). Much loved and respected mother of John and Dianne (Hamilton), Diane Carr and Leith Hamilton (New Plymouth), David and Lyn (Te Puke). Much loved and respected Nana of Michael and Joanna Carr (New Plymouth), Scotty Carr and Natasha Villiamu (New Plymouth), Nicola Wallwork (Auckland), Sonja Crone and Tim Cochrane (Rotorua), Jonelle (Papamoa), Paul and Carlie (Papamoa), Claire and Richard Jarman (Havelock North). Great Nanny/Granny of 11 great-grandchildren.

KEE-SUE, Cecil

Of Waitangirua. Passed away peacefully on 12 February 2020, aged 92 years. Dearly loved husband to Pat. Loved father to Christopher, Bernadette, Jacqueline (dec), and Jacinta (dec). Loved grandad to Ricky, Zoe, Amy, and David (DJ). Loved great grandad to Koby, and Albert (AJ). A loved uncle to his nieces and nephews, brother and friend to many. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the loving care Cecil received from Whitby Rest Home.

The Rosary will be recited in the church on Monday, 17 February commencing at 5.30pm.

10 February 2020, aged 83 years. Husband of his beloved Celine (deceased). Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Martin, Louise, Kevin, Bernard, Colette and John Lonergan, Renita Ryan and Stephen Oates. Loved grandfather of all his grandchildren. Special thanks to all Tom’s relatives, friends, neighbours, and health care staff who supported him with such kindness during his illness. In lieu of flowers, donations to Te Omanga Hospice would be appreciated. Rosary service on Tuesday 18th at 7.00pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday 19th at 1.00pm. Both to be celebrated at St Francis Xavier Church, 152 Stokes Valley Road.

Promoted to Glory, on February 12, 2020, at Nurse Maude Hospital, aged 69 years. Beloved brother of Pam, and brother-in-law of John. Cherished son of the late Jim and Mary Guthrie, and a loved nephew and cousin. Respected friend and colleague of staff and customers of Cycle Trading Company, and he will be much missed at the Mt. Pleasant Bridge Club. Messages to the Guthrie family, c/- P.O. Box 26112, Christchurch 8148. BARDEN, Arnold Allan

On Friday Mum and I had our Dad cremated. He wanted no fuss, no fanfare, and that’s what we did. On Thursday, February 13, 2020 he passed away, 82 years old. Our family loved him and said their goodbyes, knowing he is at peace, and finally with no more pain. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Cairnfield House who cared so well for him in his last few months.
He was a man of many skills, a great friend to so many.

Late of Diamond Harbour. Passed away peacefully in her 100th year, on February 12, at Anthony Wilding Retirement Village. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law to Bill and Kathy, Charmaine and Grant, and the late Robyn. Cherished grandmother of Michael, Rosalind, Flynn and Hamish. Adored great-grandmother of Ruby.
