We’re heading into winter, and with households self-isolating together, there’ll be more cooking at home, and more use of open fires, heaters, and dryers - all things which can increase fire risk.

New Zealanders can be confident that Fire and Emergency is well-prepared and ready to respond to emergencies as usual during the nationwide self- isolation period.

Please call 111 if you have a fire, we will ask you whether anyone at the address is self-isolating or has a confirmed case of COVID-19. Where this is the case, we already have necessary measures in place to ensure everyone’s safety including protective clothing, gloves, masks, safety glasses and mask.

15 June marks World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. It is an opportunity to shine the light on the role we can all play in reducing elder abuse and neglect.

WELCOME BACK !!! Our full range of Friday morning community activities are starting up again

We would love to see everyone back for the exercise classes, a chat and a cup of tea or coffee. Join us at 95A Sawyers Arms Rd, Papanui

Times will be the same as previously:
**10:00am Woman’s Exercise Classes - stay for a cuppa afterwards
**11:00am Men’s Exercise Classes - come for a cuppa at 10am
Exercise classes will be in the auditorium to provide for adequate physical distancing - 2 mtrs

As usual there will be tea and coffee available from 10am until 12pm - no food sold at present
To keep everyone safe and to adhere to the government’s Alert Level 2 regulations, please :
**Sign in and out as you arrive and leave
**Stay home if you are feeling unwell or have any cold or flu-like symptoms
**Maintain 1-2 mtr distancing for everybody's safety
**Use hand sanitiser - it is all around the building
