I take my dog for a run, I ride my bike, on the Taylor River track starting from near the new development off Taylor Pass Road. There is a spring loaded gate at the start of the narrow track leading to the river but some people are using a rock to hold the gate open, can’t imagine why. However, once through the gate, which I close, I let my dog off the lead for his run but several times recently on our return the gate was wedged open which is dangerous for unleashed dogs as they could run straight through and on to the road. At the moment traffic is obviously very light but the point is the same.
So, whoever is wedging the gate, please don’t.
Thank you, Rod Lofthouse.
Can anyone please recommend a Draftsperson for alterations to our house which require a building consent. Thanks!

Tasman District Council will soon add an e-bike to its pool vehicle fleet for staff use on short trips around the Richmond area. The $4350 e-bike is projected to provide savings of 336kg of CO2 over 973 trips a year. Do you think this is a good idea? Should other councils follow suit?
