Swimming Lessons for Life!

Hilton Brown Swimming Hobsonville

This photo is courtesy of Water Safety New Zealand and is a great representation of just how much kiwis love the water and just how much water we have in NZ! Whether you are swimming in a lake, pool, river or ocean or even fishing or boating - water safety is key! We run learn to swim lessons for infants through to adults and our aim is to help people on their journey to become competent confident swimmers. Have you been thinking about swimming lessons? Tell us about the coronavirus lockdown champions in your community

The Team Reporter from Stuff

Hey neighbours,

We want to celebrate the unsung heroes who are keeping our country going through lockdown.

Frontline nurse Debra Larsen's life has turned into a "real whirlwind" since the coronavirus outbreak began.

She's been so busy setting up testing centres around the Waikato. and helping them run smoothly that she's barely seen her two teenage daughters.

Do you know a coronavirus lockdown champion who deserves to be recognised? Tell us about them in the comments below.

To read more about Debra's life on the frontline, click here.

Be like Sandra🐵😍

Fiona from Henderson

This is Sandra.
Sandra is smart.
Sandra observed her caretakers washing their hands repeatedly at the Center for Great Apes in Wauchula, Florida.
Sandra started washing her hands too.
Sandra scrubs the fronts and backs of her hands.
Sandra takes the time to clean her hands thoroughly.
Sandra has good hand hygiene.
Sandra is responsible.
Sandra stays home.
Sandra isn't throwing parties.
Sandra isn't hanging out at the beach with people.
Sandra isn't inviting friends over.
Sandra isn't putting vulnerable people's lives at risk.
Sandra probably touches her face like it's her job, but...
Sandra washes her hands better than most humans.
Sandra scrubs surfaces around her, too.
Sandra is smart.
Be like Sandra.

P.S. Sandra's hand washing habit originated a few months prior to the pandemic.
