Rescue: The perfect gift for animal-lovers

Willowbank Wildlife Reserve

Willowbank’s founder Michael Willis has travelled New Zealand, and the world, in his quest to save often-forgotten animals from extinction.

In Rescue, he recounts his sometimes perilous and always riveting experiences with warmth, passion and infectiously laconic humour.

Rescue will make you laugh and gasp, and think. For, as he reminds us, in an uncertain world, the saving of these animals could be the saving of us all.

School holiday programmes designed with fun!

The Mind Lab

We have cleverly disguised learning as fun, just like you hide the veggies in the lasagne.

We also set ourselves an internal challenge: to structure a new holiday programme every holiday; and never to create a programme that we weren't interested in doing ourselves.

That’s why your kids love it here: because our team is as engaged, interested and new to it as your kids are. We’re all in it together exploring creativity, fun, mess, play - and learn without knowing it.

Bonus!

Bookings are now open for December 2019 and January 2020
Suitable for ages 7-12

Which cafes make the best coffee in your suburb?

Brittany Keogh Reporter from Central Leader

Hi neighbours, we all know Kiwis love coffee but a survey has found that Auckland coffee drinkers are more likely to buy their coffee than Kiwis from the regions. A third of Aucklanders buy at least half of their weekly coffees and most preferred a flat white. How often do you buy coffee out? What do you usually order? And which local cafes do you think make the best coffee? Share your thoughts in the comments.
