Dental care

CMDental Ltd

In New Zealand, we are very fortunate to have a healthcare system that entitles children to free dental care. Here at CMDental, we celebrate that fact and welcome young ones! We enjoy teaching children about their mouths when they visit us and encouraging children to keep great oral health routine to ensure that they will have minimal tooth decay in the future and to prevent gum disease from occurring.

Children Under 13:
Under the government policies, the first port of call for children under the age of 13 should always be a dental therapist. Children under the age of thirteen can only be seen by a private dental practice when it's considered an emergency, when in pain when an accident has occurred that may be cover by ACC or have been referred directly by a dental therapist. Unless any of the following conditions apply then the government does not fund for under 13 to see private dentists, this means that you may incur a small fee.
Children Over 13:

Children over the age of 13 are entitled to a free yearly dentist check-up exam with x-ray’s and any treatment that is a result of this is usually covered by government funding.

Where to find your favourite Hot Cross Buns in lockdown?

Catrin Owen Reporter from Auckland Stuff

Who loves Hot Cross Buns? Nothing beats the smell of a freshly toasted hot cross bun, but as Easter this year will be spent in coronavirus lockdown and your favourite bakery or cafe is closed, we've put together a list of some of the best spices buns you can find or if you're feeling adventurous why not make them.
My personal favourites are from Daily Bread. What's your favourite thing about Easter?

International planes still flying into New Zealand ...WHY??🛫🛬

Fiona from Henderson

Would someone out there be able to tell me why are we (New Zealand) still allowing planes from China, Malaysia, Hong Hong, Honolulu, Santiago, Doha & even Fiji to land here in this lockdown?
I thought that the extended timeframe for these airlines was last Friday.
It is still happening daily.
Before anyone says it's only Air New Zealand flying anywhere or even maybe they are cargo flights, they're not.
The various airlines flying in or out are:
China Eastern Airlines
China Southern Airlines
Shanghai Airlines
Malaysia Airlines
Fiji Airways
Cathay Pacific
LATAM Airlines
Qatar Airways
I do know that Swiss Air and Lufthansa (along with Austrian Airlines later in the week) are here for a 'mercy dash' to remove their citizens via Auckland & Christchurch, so they don't count.
