Our students visit The Fridge Cafe Kingsland

The Community Manager from Crown Institute of Studies

Here at Crown we love getting out to gain first hand experiences of the service industry. This is what we call Real World Experiences. Our Hospitality (cafe & bar) students took a trip to The Fridge Cafe in Kingsland to share a meal and drink good coffee. Cheers Fridge!

Tell us about the coronavirus lockdown champions in your community

The Team Reporter from Stuff

Hey neighbours,

We want to celebrate the unsung heroes who are keeping our country going through lockdown.

Frontline nurse Debra Larsen's life has turned into a "real whirlwind" since the coronavirus outbreak began.

She's been so busy setting up testing centres around the Waikato. and helping them run smoothly that she's barely seen her two teenage daughters.

Do you know a coronavirus lockdown champion who deserves to be recognised? Tell us about them in the comments below.

Melanie Earley Reporter from Central Leader

Kia ora neighbours, Pak 'n Save in Royal Oak and New World in Kumeu are trialing a virtual check-in system to help customers safe during the lockdown. It allows customers to wait in their cars until it's their turn to enter the supermarket. Have you tried it out yet?
