As in past emergencies, The Salvation Army continues to support New Zealanders who are struggling.

All Salvation Army buildings will close to the public from close of business, Wednesday, 25 March due to the Government’s raising of the Covid-19 response to Level 4. However, the Army continues to work with the Government, other community service providers and our corporate partners to continue providing essential services.

The Emergency Services Food Drive is the emergency services ( Police, Fire, Ambulance and Emergency Management ) teaming up together to collect any food that residents can donate to those in need through the Tauranga Salvation Army.

This year, the Tauranga Emergency Services Team will be driving through the suburb of BETHLEHEM in the early evening of Wednesday, 4th December 2019. All is required is to leave a small plastic bag of groceries by the letterbox or send the kids out when you hear us driving along ( sirens and lights /horns/loudhailers expected ). They will do their best, but not all suburban streets will be covered. Donations can be made at countdown stores, and Tauranga I-site also.
