Auckland Netball is undertaking a pilot project in 2019 to assist some identified schools to provide support and enable children to participate in school netball.

We are looking for 2 enthusiastic people, who would have a love of netball, have the ability to form strong relationships with school personnel, parents, players, be friendly and, have a can-do attitude!

You will be working closely to support appointed schools to increase netball participation and provide a foundation to enable the school to sustain ongoing school netball and participation of netball going forward.

1 contract role will be for 32 hours a week (starting in March and ending in Sept) while the other contract role will be for 40 hours per week (starting in March and ending in Sept).

The roles will cover, but not limited to
• Implementing a strategy to engage students in netball
• Assemble players for winter competition teams in Auckland Netball competition
• Assist in sourcing coaches for teams and offer support through communication
• Promote AN Coach and Umpire workshops and provide extra assistance where required
• Distribute communications about competition, development and extra opportunities AN offer
• Encourage the growth of summer league teams

After 4 years, Serena is leaving us to pursue her dream role in cricket, so we are looking for a person to fulfil Serena’s shoes. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a fun professional team in a dynamic and growing organisation.

The Development Programme Officer will work with the Netball Development Manager as part of the Development team promoting and developing Netball and other community programmes for Auckland Netball at both St Johns and Windmill Road venues.

As part of a team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, co-ordinating and delivering a range of programmes. Key areas include after school netball programmes, netball holiday programmes, multisport holiday programmes, coaching in school programmes and Kiwisport delivery, and any other agreed new programmes all attracting and retaining a diverse range of participants.

To ensure the strategic objectives of development are met, this role aims to continuing to build participation at Auckland Netball through a high level of service delivery to current members and participants using a combination of successful and fresh new marketing and advertising initiatives.

This role requires leadership with the ability to be able to establish and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You will need to have creativity, an eye for detail, lead a professional team of deliverers, excellent administrative and computer skills and demonstrate a high level of customer service delivery.

Kokkino Events Manager runs the event facilities at Auckland Netball Centre situated in St Johns, only 10 minutes from the city centre.

Auckland Netball is known for providing netball participation and performance programmes, promoting healthy active lifestyles and being a quality sporting, recreation and business hub for the wider community.
Over the past 12 months Kokkino Events has experienced exceptional growth in our functions and events business and this role will focus on providing overall delivery of events through effective communication, inter departmental team work and implementation of high service standards.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team with the following attributes:

* An experienced events person accustomed to working with both small meetings or large events up to 1000 people

* You will be working with a variety of clients from sporting organisations to the private sector

* A detail focused person who understands the event process from proposal stage through to successful delivery and beyond

* You will have a positive attitude, an ability to build rapport, grow and maintain strong client relationships

* Be able to work within budgets and attain targets set

* Support the Café Supervisor to ensure overall accountabilities and outcomes are met

Excellent communication and computer skills are a must.

This is a busy sport and event facility, requiring flexibility in hours worked i.e. some weekends and evenings will be required.

This hands-on role provides the successful applicant an exciting opportunity to contribute to Auckland Netball's vision of delivering the “ultimate experience for all“.
