Passed away peacefully on
18 March 2019, at Whakatane, aged 78 years. Dearly loved husband of Leonie Hughes, and cherished father of Leanne, Jacqueline and Erin. Loved son of the late Bert and Lillian Hughes. Cherished brother of Alan Hughes and Shirley Langlands, and beloved uncle to their families. Brother-in-law of Jean, the late Ian, Ngarie and the late Valerie and beloved uncle to their families. In keeping with the wishes of Les a private cremation was held and there will be no funeral service. All correspondence to 17 Grey Street, Normanby.

At Hospice South Canterbury, with her loving family around her, on Monday, March 18, 2019. Loved, cherished and devoted wife of David, beautiful and loving mum of Josh and Caroline, Davie and Lori, and Kelly. Special daughter of Bev and Ali, loved sister and sister in law of Bruce and Robyn, Eric and Margaret, and John, and special aunt to her nieces and nephews. A service for Doreen will be held at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 10 Cox Street, Geraldine, on Saturday, March 23, at 1.00pm, followed by a private cremation. Retired RNZAF Pilot, Wing Commander. It is with sadness that we advise friends and the community that Kelly Byrne passed away peacefully at the Golden Bay Community Health Centre, while surrounded by family, including all of his grandchildren. As per Kelly’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral but there will be a party to celebrate Kelly’s life later in the year (date and time to be advised). In the meantime, Kelly would encourage anyone who would like to have a drink in his honour to do so. Passed away peacefully at his home in Greymouth on Wednesday 20th March 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Dearly loved husband of the late Wendy, much loved father & father-in-law of Kevin & Leanne (Nelson), Sharleen & Justin Murtha (Christchurch), and the late Nadine. Cherished grandad of Hayley, Brooke, Mitchell, and Kyla, and a loved brother & brother-in-law, uncle, and a great friend to many, who will be sadly missed. Passed away suddenly on March 18, 2019 on Stewart Island, aged 55. Loving husband of Danielle, father of Nicole, Ellen, Thomas, Yvette, Niko, Zara and Mira; loved brother of Robin and Irene, Tony and Cherie, Gael and the late Paul Youdvald, John and Vivienne Phipps, and uncle to Joshua, Jordan, Phillipa, Brent, Todd, Amanda and Niki.

Passed away peacefully at George Manning Lifecare in Christchurch, on Thursday, March 21, 2019, at the age of 85. Husband of the late Joan Bowman Williams, and companion to the late Elizabeth Purvis. Dear father of Nadine, Brett, Dane, Craig, Roxanne, Nyree and Kirrily, and grandfather to Savannah, Zahlia, Troy, Jordan, Jessie, Tegan, Paige, Jade, Ari and Niko. The funeral and cremation service will be held at Harewood Memorial Gardens and Crematorium (Wilkinsons Road, Harewood), at 3.30pm, This Day (Friday, March 22). The family would like to give heartfelt thanks to Karen Effie for her close friendship and care and to the amazing staff at George Manning.
