Died peacefully on Friday, April 10, 2020 at home, in her 89th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Allan Johnson. Much loved and respected mother of Peter Johnson and Rosemary McFadyen, and mother-in-law of Jennie Johnson and Malcom McFadyen. Treasured grandmother (Nan) of Stuart, Daniel, Ashley and Jessica, and special great-grandmother of Rylie. The family would like to invite those who knew Val to join them in a celebration of her life at The Captain’s Daughter (upstairs), Main Road, Havelock, on Saturday, July 25, at 10.00am. A private interment of Val’s ashes, at Havelock Cemetery, will follow the service.

Much loved father of Raewyn, Sharon, Jennifer and their families. A service for Ray will be held at Harvey’s Chapel, 284 Oxford Street, Levin, on Saturday 18th July, at 11.00am, followed by private cremation.

Passed away peacefully and surrounded by love on Friday 10 July 2020, aged 78 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Lynne. Much loved and respected father and father-in-law of Keith and Vicki, Gordon and Josie, Brent and Liane, Vanessa and Karl Signal. WILMS, Anne-Marie

On 10 July 2020 at her Ryder-Cheshire home in Palmerston North. Age 65. Adored and beloved daughter of the late Ann and Bill Wilms of Hastings. Most loved sister of Maria and Michael Phelan and Theo Wilms and the late Dr Heather Mackintosh. Aunt to Alice and James; Thomas and Nicole; Heath and Lizzie; and Peter and Elise. Great-aunt to her nieces and nephews. Anne-Marie’s life changed dramatically due to a traumatic brain injury which occurred in 1974. Anne-Marie, we your family members, and all who know you, salute your bravery, sense of humour, kindness to others, bloody-mindedness, endurance, and amazing will to make the best of life no matter what. Your life’s work is done and we are so very sad and will miss you. Anne-Marie’s family would like to pay tribute to the carers and residents at Ryder-Cheshire Foundation in Palmerston North which has been Anne-Marie’s home for nearly 20 years. Their love and dedication to her well-being has meant all the difference to her life. Our heartfelt thanks go to Arohanui Hospice care staff for their support to Anne-Marie, her family and caregivers over the past weeks. Passed away peacefully at Hawera Hospital, on Sunday 12th July 2020, aged 66 years. Dearly loved dad of Della, Kaysey, Carlene, Richard, and their partners, and a cherished grandad. Treasured brother of Eric (dec), Cynthia, Maureen, Trevor, Valerie, Jeanette, Neville, Ian and Raewyn. A good brother-in-law, mate and bowler. In accordance with Phil’s wishes no service will be held.

Passed away peacefully on Friday 10th July 2020, aged 97. Dearly loved wife of the late Lloyd. Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Gael and Robin Gray, Brent and Siri, and Grant and Gaynor. Cherished grandmother of Kieran, Hayley, Kezia, Kimberley, Brooke, Jordyn, and Alissa (Bonnie). Adored great-grandmother of Charlotte, Ashtyn, and Leon. Special thanks to the carers at Nurse Maude who helped Yvonne maintain her independence, and to all the wonderful staff at Kenepuru Hospital and Rita Angus Retirement Village who cared for her in her final weeks.
